OK boys, convince me

I've been reading your blog J and I couldn't help but notice Cousin J's comment.

I'm a not quite sure which way I'll vote in Nov.

On one hand I don't think I can take another 4 years of Republican elitists.

On the other, if McCain wins the presidency my girl Hillary gets another crack at it in 4 years.

Tell me why I should vote one way or the other.

My only rule is that what you say has to be the truth and backed up with an example.

What are blogging rules

Do you have to post to your blog every day?

Not a lot new here. Granny H. has been under the weather the last few days. Her arthritis is bothering her. For her to complain means a lot. I wish she could take medications to help with the pain, but after having partial kidney failure that's not an option.

A. had her first fire drill at school today. They are starting the institutionalizing. Don't worry about learning your ABC's and 123's, learn our rules. I guess that is what kindergarten is for. I still haven't been asked to volunteer. I am a little disappointed about that. I was hoping I could be as involved with her education as I was with J and T's. I have noticed that they have people on the payroll doing the things I used to do for free. I miss DJ Wallace. He always seemed to welcome the parents participation. One of the other moms said " I think she thought I was watching her" (the teacher) when I asked her about volunteering. The daughter of A's teacher was in her room yesterday when I went to look for A's towel that has come up missing. I guess she is helping her. sigh. I don't even know if they have room mothers anymore. They preach parent involvement while keeping us at arms length. Sorry, about the bellyaching I'm just feeling a little left out.

Hi Josh!

It was good to hear from J and to see T.

J called me yesterday and we had a good visit over the phone. He moved to a far away city to pursue his dreams and seems to be on his way. Not without a few bumps in the road. But, knock on wood, nothing he hasn't been able to rise above. A mom still worries though. Good Luck with the new job. Cnet.com (proud mama bragging)
T came to eat out with us in Town last night also. A. was very happy to see her and tell her all about school. She brought me some roses for my flower bed XOXO.

Gas wells galore!

We now have a new gas well in our section. It has been a noisy, dusty, and stressful summer. We had to renegotiate our old lease, which took the help of an attorney and several $$$'s. They have now completed the drilling. It is yet to be seen if it is a good well. They haven't been very successful in this area yet. There have been some rumors that they want to put the pipeline on our property even though the shortest route would be across a neighbors land. The difference being, that our neighbor is a rich attorney with no mineral rights. Guess their scared.

A is off to another day of Kindergarten.

J needs to call me. I haven't talked to him since he started his new job. I would like to know how it is going.

First Entry

Monday was the first day of my daughters school career.
She is my third child.
School is a lot different than when T. and J. were kids.
The school has grown. It is all rearranged too, the old cafeteria is now the library. The old Kindergarten rooms have been changed to a rec room and an art studio. The administration office is now in what used to be the library. I am not sure what is in the old office. The kids all meet in the morning in the safe room. Which didn't exist when T. and J. were kids.
A. is really pumped every morning to go, hope this doesn't change.
The only change I'm not happy with so far is the lack of the pledge of allegiance. Isn't a public school funded by the government? Why eliminate this little formality. If you don't like our government don't use its services. Just my own opinion. I can still have one, right?

Everyone keeps asking me if I'm sad. How can I be sad when I know that she is doing what she has wanted to do for over a year now. Staying at home with me was starting to get on her nerves. I work from home and her siblings are quite a bit older than her so they are not around much to play with.

It is a little quiet. That will change at 3:00.

Just two hrs and 30 min. before I can go get her.
