Monday was the first day of my daughters school career.
She is my third child.
School is a lot different than when T. and J. were kids.
The school has grown. It is all rearranged too, the old cafeteria is now the library. The old Kindergarten rooms have been changed to a rec room and an art studio. The administration office is now in what used to be the library. I am not sure what is in the old office. The kids all meet in the morning in the safe room. Which didn't exist when T. and J. were kids.
A. is really pumped every morning to go, hope this doesn't change.
The only change I'm not happy with so far is the lack of the pledge of allegiance. Isn't a public school funded by the government? Why eliminate this little formality. If you don't like our government don't use its services. Just my own opinion. I can still have one, right?
Everyone keeps asking me if I'm sad. How can I be sad when I know that she is doing what she has wanted to do for over a year now. Staying at home with me was starting to get on her nerves. I work from home and her siblings are quite a bit older than her so they are not around much to play with.
It is a little quiet. That will change at 3:00.
Just two hrs and 30 min. before I can go get her.

Enjoy your freedom mom! Turn off Spongebob and put HGTV on the television and kick back. Congrats on the blog too! I'm subscribed :-)
Don' get me wrong, I love my country and everything, but isn't it just kinda creepy to make kids recite a creed. It's sorta facist or something. I mean I'll stand for the national anthem, but the pledge is kinda revisionist. Our ancestors never said anything about this being "one nation under god".
I always felt it was more like showing respect for the country, its leaders, and the men and women who give their lives to serve in the armed forces.
