I have been locked out of this web site ever since I installed bitdefender 2009 on my Vista machine. After many attempts to get customer service to help me rectify the problem I have now given up and uninstalled it from my machine. Viola! back in business.
I noticed you didn't like my comment about McCain, J. Don't worry too much. Unless something else changes I don't think McCain made a wise choice in his running mate. If a woman becomes president I want it to be because she was voted into the office not because the former President died.
Things here in Lucas are quiet again after the gas exploration company lost their backing due to non productive wells. Who knows if they will even finish the one on Holley's place. Too bad, I guess we won't hit it rich. Back to work.
A is loving school. I got a little sad today b/c when I kissed her good-bye she was busy looking for her friends and when one walked in the door she went with her and never looked back. sigh.
Bikes Blues and BBQ is this weekend in Fayetteville.
Our little dog Blackie is having problems. We had to take him to the vet Sat. and the vet said he had a testicle infection and to make matters worse one of them is retained in his abdomen. This means surgery to remove them both. I hope they're not cancerous. We have all gotten attached to him. We knew he must be old because he had some missing teeth. But he's pretty active most of the time. After visiting the vet we went to McDonalds to let A play in the playplace. While there we heard her tell her new friend all about Blackie's testicle infection. The whole room could hear it too even though she was up in one of the tubes. That just seemed to magnify her voice. Oh well, what better way to teach a child about anatomy?
R has posted some new pictures to his flickr account be sure to check them out. That Iphone has made him a photographer.
That's all for now

Oh the things kids learn in the PlayPlace!
It disturbs me that your reasoning for voting, or not voting for McCain still has to do with the gender of his running mate. Shouldn't you be more concerned with his policies instead? After all, the job is to make executive decisions about foreign policy, and taxes, not the color of shoes we'll be wearing this season. Focus on where the candidates want to lead us, not the way they look.
If it helps you make your decision, just imagine that I was going to join the military next year. McCain has expressed hostility toward Iran, and in general supports military solutions to foreign problems. Obama, has already visited other countries during this campaign and has been met with cheers. In Africa (a place where millions are dying) they think he's a messiah who will finally bring the US's attention to their suffering. He adamantly supports meeting with Iran's leaders to find a diplomatic solution to our problems. Now who do you want to be my commander in chief?
Well, tongue in cheek, it is important what shoes I wear.
